The Metsä Pavilion represents Finnish industrial wood expertise at the Tokyo Olympics 2021. The pavilion serves as a gathering place for the Finnish Olympic team, and various events are also held there. The pavilion's flexible wooden structures are designed from industrially manufactured wooden elements developed by Metsä Wood. The ecological wood structure acts as a carbon sink and represents a sustainable way of building. The pavilion is designed to withstand earthquakes and hurricanes.
