Artek, Helsinki
Konkret was principal designer for the creation of Artek’s new flagship store in an Eliel Saarinen designed protected building on Helsinki’s Keskuskatu. A tight schedule was the most challenging aspect of the project: demolition works took place over Christmas and the opening was held already in March. The design was carried out in collaboration with the Swedish design office Koncept and Artek’s own visual team. The aim was to create a space that would best display Artek’s high quality furniture.
