We are strengthening our housing company services in the capital region – Frontago to become part of AINS Group
Frontago, which specialises in façade and building renovation, has merged with AINS Group as a result of a corporate deal. The merger strengthens AINS Group’s foothold in the capital region’s building renovation market.
– Frontago is an engineering company with strong expertise in the renovation of residential buildings and valuable properties. The company, which has extensive client and partner networks, is held in high esteem by contractors. Together, we can offer housing companies a model that brings together all the areas of expertise required for renovation projects, improving the ease and reliability of the services, says Juha Valtari, AINS Group’s senior vice president of Renovation and Specialist Services.

Frontago, which has operations in Lahti and the capital region, directly employs 10 people and has consulting contracts with five designers and consultants. Since 2017, it has also offered building surveys and project management services.

After the corporate deal, Frontago’s employees will continue as existing employees in AINS Group’s 70-strong multi-disciplinary renovation and specialist services team in the capital region. The owners will also remain part of the operations.
– The merger enables us to maintain a constant order base and help our clients in a comprehensive manner. As part of AINS Group, we have experienced colleagues to assist our clients in various fields from building services and indoor air quality engineering to acoustical design. Having employees from various engineering fields sitting next to one another in the office makes for a beneficial working model, says Frontago’s managing director, Juha Hartikka, who will continue at AINS Group as an engineering director.
Frontago’s renovation projects in Helsinki include façade renovation of Bostads Ab V Chaussen (Mannerheimintie 31), Fastighets Ab Armiro (Meritullinkatu 1), As Oy Hiihtäjä (Hiihtäjäntie 4) and As Oy Untamontie 10, a protected property originally built as accommodation for Olympic athletes.
The corporate deal took place on 1 March 2023. Frontago will continue its operations as AINS Group’s subsidiary under its present name. The fusion of operations with AINS Group’s renovation engineering business will be realised in late 2023 and early 2024.
