- Our building services operations expand – Oulu-based Airlon and Silvea become part of AINS Group
Our building services operations expand – Oulu-based Airlon and Silvea become part of AINS Group
Airlon Development Oy, which specialises in HVAC engineering and supervision, and its subsidiary Silvea Oy, which focuses on electrical engineering, merged with the engineering and consultancy company AINS Group through a deal signed on 2 May 2022. The companies, which employ 23 professionals, are based in Oulu.
As a result of the merger, AINS Group will expand its operations in the Oulu region to cover building services engineering, in addition to construction management and structural engineering.
Airlon and Silvea’s effective operating models and strong partnerships, particularly in the area of building and housing construction, complement AINS Group’s building services at the national level. Airlon’s customers include dozens of element house manufacturers.
– We are very impressed by Airlon and Silvea’s advanced building services engineering models. We will continue to invest in strong partnerships. In the future, we will be able to offer comprehensive and dynamically developing engineering services to housing construction and industrial operators in northern Finland, explains Sasu Karkiainen, senior vice president of the Industrial and Building Services Division.
In the future, we will be able to offer comprehensive and dynamically developing engineering services to housing construction and industrial operators in northern Finland,’ explains Sasu Karkiainen, senior vice president of the Industrial and Building Services Division (right), and Sakari Mäenpää, who will take over as head of the unit.
Established in 2009, Airlon has expertise in energy measurements and inspections and industrial process and electrical engineering, in addition to HVAC engineering and supervision and electrical engineering. The entire personnel will continue their work as existing employees.
– The merger with AINS Group will open doors to new, inspiring joint projects and offer new opportunities to our experts for development and career advancement alongside familiar colleagues. For our customers, it will mean even more extensive services in a variety of engineering fields,’ says Sakari Mäenpää, Airlon’s managing director.
Airlon and Silvea will form a new, Oulu-based building technology division within AINS Group. Sakari Mäenpää will continue as head of the unit. Silvea’s managing director Olli-Matti Törmänen will take over as the engineering director for electrical engineering.
The acquisition took place on 2 May 2022. The fusion of operations with AINS Group’s Industrial and Building Services Division will be realised in spring 2023. Until then, Airlon and Silvea will continue their operations under their current names and brands.
