Juha Valtari to head the new renovation engineering business unit at AINS Group

Juha Valtari, MSc (Tech), has been appointed as new Senior Vice President and member of the senior executive team at AINS Group. Valtari will be heading the new Renovation Engineering unit, focusing on developing the unit and boosting its growth. Valtari joins AINS Group as of 1 August 2022.

In his previous role as Senior Director, Buildings at Ramboll, he was in charge of the construction engineering, building services and architectural design for 10 years.

AINS Group boasts a breadth of expertise in renovation engineering, construction physics, healthy buildings and hybrid construction. Our service offering is already extensive, particularly in the Helsinki and Tampere regions. Our next step is to promote this area of competence even more prominently,” says Jyrki Keinänen, senior vice president.

“Juha is a well-connected business director with long and extensive experience and the capability to look at renovation engineering from the perspectives of architecture, building services, structural engineering and sustainability management. Renovation engineering involves several different fields, adding value horizontally throughout our organisation.

Prior to Ramboll, Valtari worked at Ruukki Construction, where his roles involved product development, sales and marketing. At Ramboll, his scope of responsibility included renovation.

“Renovation and infill construction are the future and offer infinite opportunities for experts in these fields. We can’t save the world with newbuilds. What we need is to shift our focus to the renovation of existing buildings, creating more energy-efficient and healthier spaces, and this is already happening. The zero carbon targets and geopolitical factors are speeding up the green transition, and there is immense dormant potential in empty properties,” Valtari says.

The new business unit headed by Juha Valtari will be formed from the renovation engineering and other specialist services units currently under the structural engineering business, which employs 130 experts. The new business unit will begin operating from early 2023.
