AINS Group to promote startups and innovation in the property and construction sector
The AINS Group has launched a programme to support innovations and new business in the sector. The programme is aimed at promoting the further development of internal an external business ideas to pave the way for new business operations.
The goal of the startup initiative is to support AINS Group’s employees and other innovators in the sector in getting their competitive ideas to take off. In the AINS Group, the programme is supported by AINS Ventures Oy, a subsidiary, which specialises in technology investments and operates in line with the CVC principles.
– With our startup programme, we challenge ourselves and other property and construction sector operators to develop their operations and the sector on the whole even further. The AINS Group has plenty of expertise, technology knowledge and entrepreneurship to offer. I think it is our responsibility to do our part to develop new business, explains CEO Jyrki Keinänen.
The development and commercialisation of ideas is supported via a model under which ideas that pass a multi-stage assessment process are allocated resources that can be used to develop the idea further, realise a prototype and prepare a business plan. Commercial potential is evaluated by ‘Dragons’ dens’, which also present investment proposals to the investment company’s board.
– Developing and nurturing new ideas creates competitive advantage for the company and the sector on the whole. An atmosphere that encourages creativity and bold ideas has proved a draw, particularly for young professionals, shares Jaakko Jauhiainen, the AINS Group’s chief technology officer, who heads the startup programme.
In addition to an initial investment, the AINS Group also offers practical support for the establishment of a growth company.
The first startup business ideas have already been pitched to the AINS Group’s dragons’ den.
Currently, the AINS Group is seeking the best ideas and solutions for a smart city via the Virtual Mayor™ Challenge in collaboration with Recotech.
The Virtual Mayor™ Challenge is intended not only for new teams and seed stage startups, but also for scaleups and startups with business operations. Read more: https://recotech.fi/smartcityhack/
